But she’s moving and suddenly wrapping her arms around him and Varus freezes, squeezing the book against his side, standing as still as a pillar. “Think you’re mistaken.” He manages after a moment, relaxing the second she pulls away, turning to face her a bit more fully before he’s shaking off the snow that’s accumulated on his metal arm. “I don’t know a Thomas and he’s definitely not me, so…” An air of a laugh leaves him, wondering why everyone continues to think of him as someone else.
