"Mm, I bet," Finn says, though it's politely said and completely without context. He had been gone for all but the end of her labour, after all, and he has no idea what that part must have been like for her, just the same as he has no idea of the bond that has just been forged between Tobi and the tiny child squirming in her arms. He glances up to hear the nurses speak, and concerns have storms brewing in Finn's eyes as well.
"Tobi, I..." If she thinks he's going to have even the slighest hope of making a decision in that moment, she's going to find him sorely lacking. Gazing between the nurses, the boy, and Tobi, he shifts uneasily and runs a hand back to front through his curls. "I can wait with him, if..." He nods again at the nurses. "Just... whatever you need. I can wait outside and let you both stay...?"
