As for colour palettes, laughter rumbles up in his chest and throat at that, and he gives her a nod of agreement. "It is eclectic," he says of his husband's fashion choices, the words very carefully chosen. Ronin, on the other hand, is quite the polar opposite. "I will make sure to choose something that goes with Halo," he remarks.
Her story does wipe some of the amusement away, granted, and his shoulders sag a little as he buries his hands more deeply in his pockets. "We cannot help who we love," he says softly. "And we cannot help the opposite either, I suppose. But there is a difference between dislike and open hostility, between desire and acting on it. I like to think that Safrin understands that well enough."
