Seren's thoughts rarely moved in logical patters. There might be some connection between lost family and the upstart goddess, but she would never have been able to explain what it was. She wrinkled her nose, both at the thought of controlling parents and the Voice's rudeness. While she was spared from the first (are you, girl?), the later might prove to be a bit of an issue.
