His words, his apology, are apparently enough to placate Remi, though Nate doesn’t miss the restlessness that comes along with his words. It feels like that fact alone should be more than a balm for his own twitchy discomfort, but his throat is still raw from swallowing his pride, and he can’t seem to find the joy in it.
Being told hes right has a toothy expression spreading over Nate’s face, no matter the circumstances. It’s not a smile, could never mistaken for a smile. “That I have.” He agrees lightly, straightening again and cracking his neck. A quick hand returns the cigarette to his lips, a little worse for the wear now.
They should be done now, as far as Nate is aware, but Remi doesn’t move. So he doesn’t move either, a mirror of effortless stillness. The quirk of his lips shifts, face growing sour and dark. “Something else?” He prompts, voice softer than he’s managed so far. A long moment is spent in silent consideration, Nate’s tongue poking out of his mouth before he speaks again.
“Go on then.”
