Tumbling down next to her friend, with the cup held aloft to keep from sloshing half-full contents over herself, Seren giggled and snuggled in close. Hip to hip, wrapped about one another, she hooked into Maeve's pinky finger without hesitation.
"Always," she swore, and leaned in close until her forehead touched Maeve's. "Always, if I am able. If not right away, then as soon as I can. I have your back, Maeve. And you have mine, right? You'll always be on my side?"
