'Cause she's just like the weather
Can't hold her together
Born from dark water
Daughter of the r a i n and s n o w
Still distracted by the flashback, Amalia does not anticipate Seren's sudden assault, nor is she prepared to counter it with much more than a bark of surprise and a quick retreat. One moment the girl is standing with her boots in her hands, the next she is flying through the air, lightless as the sky. Startled, the Angel barks a note of surprise as she dodges lightly to her left, her bare toes scrambling on the sidewalk as she maneuvers away from the edge of the Port. She hadn't expected an onslaught, and her heartbeat kicks up in instinctive response - but only for a moment, before rationality sets in and Amalia remembers she is in no danger here. Can't hold her together

She manages, narrowly, to avoid the tag, sliding under Seren's fingers by the length of a hair. In a fluid movement the girl turns round, letting her momentum carry her back and into a knees-bent, ready position. "I guess now it is," the Shield murmurs, dark eyes glittering with adrenaline as she eyes the youth, waiting for the next move.
