It's influencing the choices he's been making." Something they both knew given that Hotaru had been held and subsequently banished from Torchline. "That mixed with appointing Nate to govern with him. She's unhappy with the power that gave the Voice." Another point Maeve doesn't need to explain to Remi either.
Before she has a chance to answer his question, the world around them sighs out a plea that she feels in her bones, a chill expanding through her chest. Her eyes flash up to him and she reaches out, a hand on his knee, understanding in her gaze. "From what I gathered. I don't think it'll be Ronin, though. She asked me who I thought would be fitting. I didn't give his name." It's meant to be a reassurance. That while Maeve knew Ronin could handle it should he be placed there, it wasn't a choice she wished upon the Star and the Lullaby.
