Nate is content to sit still, to doze and rest in this warm, colourful dark they’ve created for themselves, but... his mind still works too much, tearing apart the fantasy while it starts to spin up to its full capacity again.
Even when Sunjata speaks, Nate feels a thrum of panic, sent through the bond only because he doesn’t remember how to hide it, some part of him walking back through the last ten minutes, the last hour, the last day, trying to find the reason for the hey.
