Last time Cam had confronted a vampire gourd, they'd done so unprepared ( {SE} {open} bitten by a vampire). Now they'd taken to carrying a sturdy walking stick wherever they went, even within the Hollowed Grounds, where they weren't exactly hiking. The preparation had served them well, and would serve them well again today, when they saw a contingent of gourds making their way through the open doors of the Temple.
"Oh no you don't," Cam muttered, starting after them. They might not be particularly religious, but they knew that the Temple was a place of worship for both the Ascended and whoever in the Grounds might still burn a candle for the Old Gods -- and that was worth defending.
Also, they wouldn't mind a little revenge on the obnoxious gourds.
