"Thanks." Cam set about beating off a set of smaller gourds as Mabel went after the wounded one. They let her move in behind them; it felt pretty cool, actually, to be fighting with someone. And Mabel's grace and skill with her daggers seemed to elevate the encounter from "just whacking things with a stick" to actually fighting.
