A mind eternally willing, wishing they could go back to days spent beneath suns, canopies, mountains, bakeries, catapults flinging flower crowns; but knowing he couldn’t. The past wasn’t something to be buried, cherished, perhaps, but there was no way to cycle within. They’d had moments of wonder, of clarity, of laughter, and now he was going to, in some faction, lose her for a second time.
