There were tears in her eyes and her heart broke even as Aino drew her into a fierce hug, telling her to trust Sah with her life, stressing the job that needed to be done. She didn’t want to leave. The idea of it tearing her to pieces, but they had a job to do. Cordelia turned to Sah, seizing his hand and gripping tightly, ”If we’re going to go then we need to go soon. While they’re distracted.”

Outside the barracks there were continued sounds of attack. Lightning ramming into buildings along with bodies. Words shouted from Morgan, attempting to draw them out into the square, speaking of hunger for justice and taking back the Citadel from those who took it from her. The huntress paused, brows knitting together, unsure if this changed anything for them. Attention turning back to her cousin, Cordelia swallowed thickly, ”What now? Do we still go?

Lightning makes no sound until is strikes
Sah felt his heart ache at the goodbye. "It better not be, sister. I can't lose you." He agreed solemnly, taking a breath before pulling back. He gripped Cordelia's hand with matching desperation, refusing to let her out of his sights. "You're right, let's go."

And then they heard Morgan's call, her speech. Sah grit his teeth, indecision tearing at him. "It's true that Noah and Hotaru forced us out of neutrality without our say. But Morgan came in with a small army, and fired on us." He let out a frustrated sigh, eyes steely. "But they only fired once." That implied that the destruction of Halo, the endangerment of citizens, wasn't the goal.

Sah raked a hand through his hair, mind racing. "Do we stay and hear her out? I'd like Halo to return to neutrality. But I find it hard to believe that Morgan can actually obtain that. She came in with Ascended, and she now owes them for helping her take back Halo." Debts made things complicated, especially ones as large as Morgan likely now had.

After a moment, Sah came to a decision. "Her words don't change what's happened. We'll do what Aino said and leave." He squeezed Cordelia's hand reassuringly. "Let's go." And the two slipped out of Halo and began their journey to Torchline.
