Remi's words would not, should not have effected her as much as they did. At least Ronin's own advice can leave an impact. It's nice to be told it isn't as bad as she thinks it is.
Suddenly, she moves to rest her head against his lap. The words take their time sinking in, minutes after Ronin's voice dies down and all she can focus on is the feeling of his fingers against her fur.
