Maeve
Oh. Maeve hadn't know what exactly Locke's curse entailed. She especially didn't know that it meant flies would buzz out of his mouth whenever he spoke. It takes everything in her not to gag at the sight even as her stomach turns violently, threatening to empty its contents then and there thanks to the ever present morning sickness. The queen winces, swallowing thickly before taking a breath to steady herself, tightening her grip on the buckets she's carrying herself, steps light as she begins to lead them back towards the exit.
"Hopefully we don't run into a whole murder of them." She says to the Honeybee, unease clear in her voice despite the cool expression on her face. The walk back up to their pack mules is a long one and she's sweating by the time they make it back out. Her cheeks flush and her hair sticking at her temples. Maeve sets both of her buckets down, placing a hand on her belly as she catches her breath, giving their surroundings a quick scan. "Let's get the casks filled up quickly before anything decides to rush us."
