It is really hot. There’s a rumble of agreement to Aurelia that slips from the Flood as they begin their walk, scanning the ground around them for anything of interest. He sees the bird, of course he does, and he squints at it as it squawks its warning, before his eyes snap to the land shark that’s popped out of the sand to devour a fox. Haai flies from above, circling the group and scanning the area for anything of interest while Sunjata does much the same from below.
And so Sunjata continues forward with the group, eyes peeled for anything that might seem out of place, wreckage along their path or perhaps the wind might open a handle to a door into some reprieve from the sandy wasteland they find themselves on.
