Some small amount of tension begins to unwind in Nate’s chest, a breath sighing out of him while his arms tighten around his husband. There’s an argument on his tongue that he doesn’t want to voice, a reality that he still can tiring out into the open, even though he’s sure they both know. Even if the worst of the worst happens they’re not going to the same place. Even if the best happens, he won’t change, won’t age.
