It had been something he always kept on him, and made him laugh when he looked at it. He was standing on top of a boulder (or, that's what he assumed the gray blob was), in a pose of victory. He was adorned with all different appendages from half-shifts: wings, claws, antlers, ears, and a long, exaggerated tail.
