The letter has to be a prank, right? Given the fact only a few people know where they live, Sunjata’s sure it’s got to be some sort of joke. Still, they pack up on the off chance it isn’t, slip out from their home to head out into the edges of King’s End just to get a lay of the land and see if anything interesting pops up. Sunjata’s got a bucket of snow, because the letter said to bring some, even if he thinks it’s a bit ridiculous given everything. Guess it wasn’t a joke. Sunjata murmurs to Nate, gaze flickering to his husband with a raise of his brow as they stumble across the edges of the gathering with many familiar faces.
Aside from the bucket of snow, Sunjata’s brought a mixture of apples that Nate had helped him with – a baked apple, scooped out and filled with cinnamon and sugar tucked neatly into the pack along his back. And as for the third thing? Well, that’s the hardest part for the Flood, feeling as if he hasn’t had a reason to laugh in what feels like ages. Alongside the apples, he brings a deck of cards – because if nothing else, the typical deck had two jokers, right?
