Of course Ever hates this. He hates the lack of clarity, hates the strange instructions that he is given, and hates the crowd. Everyone is moving and speaking in rhymes that to his ear lends an ominous sing-song overtone to this entire weird encounter that makes his skin crawl. Waving awkwardly at Paige before trying to figure out what the BeSt ThInG IS okay taskmaster, Ever turns an unhappy stare toward his counterpart. "I hate this." He mumbles, and then, because he will always follow rules even if they're stupid, adds: "uhh. hiss." so that it rhymes.
