Nikolai was caught off guard by Nate's concern but decides to go along with it for now, sticking close to him and Azrael. Nikolai certainly understood the sentiment though. Two young Ascended surrounded by potential enemies, no wonder the Demi-god and Sunjata seemed on edge. Their concern warms something in him though and makes a small smile come to his face.
Sunjata's offer then doesn't come as a surprise but Nikolai appreciates it nonetheless. He hands his marshmallows over without complaint. "Thank you. Going to the fire would be risky, true." Hopefully the Attuned wouldn't have any issues either but Nikolai would keep an eye out regardless.
