The items are handed to Sunjata and he gladly takes them all for the Ascended, flashing a small smile to Azrael – the newest one he doesn’t recognize – before a more acquaintance one is given to the rest of them, nodding to Nate’s instructions and keeping them in mind. Luckily for most of his food can just be set up there to cook while he focuses on Nate’s popcorn, and when it’s all finished, the line is gathering for the creature to meet.
And that’s where Sunjata realizes his mistake. He’d brought some playing cards, despite not knowing too many card games. At the very least, he can make a fool of himself and hope that’s funny enough. So he returns to Nate’s side, fingers reaching out to grab for his playing cards and for his husband’s hand. “Think I might’ve fucked up.” He murmurs to Nate with a huff of a laugh. “I should’ve brought a backup.”
So saying, he steps toward the creature, using the deck of cards to try and do a trick – not quite magic, but one that’s geared more towards aesthetics. But the playing cards, while being normal, had a bit of a twist on the side of the cards so that when he spins them and bridges them, that they make a whizzing sort of sound and he hopes that’s good enough.
Sunjata does a little card trick, warping the cards just enough to make a buzzing/whining sound when he does the trick!
