"You and me both, sonskyn." Nate mumbles, entwining their fingers together and reaching into his pocket to pat at the single, shiny coin he had tucked away. Seems like he'll just have to go all out then. "Whatever happens we can take it on the chin." It wasn't like they'd come out here expecting to really get anything, after all, what was walking home empty-handed going to hurt?
When it finally comes his turn, Nate produces the coin with a flourish, holding it up so the wee beastie gets the chance to see it before, with a twirl of his fingers, his hand is empty again. It reappears in a different, crackling hand, tossed back and forth between glowing fingers and flesh ones until finally, Nate flicks the coin into the air and flashes a winning grin at their host. "I don't know about you, but I've got a good feeling about tails." He chuckles, glancing up and squinting to try and catch sight of the coin. There's nothing there, the coin seemingly gone, until Nate coughs.
He just barely keeps from doubling over, his tongue sticking out of his mouth to reveal the coin sitting pretty at the tip of it, heads up. Nate plucks it delicately out of his mouth then frowns when he sees the face. "Well shit. Nothing like being wrong to take the wind out of your sails." He sighs, flicking the coin up once more and catching it in his hand. He hates to end on a fumble, but maybe it's okay, just this one time.
