"There's a posto italiano di pasta near here," Mateo mumbles, as if getting a snack inside had been an option rather than a suggestion from Ever. "They do the best gnocchi..." Why does he feel so wiped out all of a sudden? With a wobbly smile to Ever, he doesn't at all seem to enjoy the like this, or worse aspect of their evening, scrunching his nose at the suggestion that he wear the other man's mask.
"I left mine at the hospital," he realises with a pout. But it's the state of his makeup that really does it, Mateo groaning and slumping back against the wall. "Fuck it, I'm done," he decides. "Wanna get food and go home? We can watch Hocus Pocus."
Then, as if just realising the state of his friend, Mateo furrows his brow. "Your shirt's a bit undone."
