Ever considers, and then shrugs. “I am going to have a terrible sleep anyway.” He murmurs softly. Much as Ever suddenly wants to pretend he’s never said anything, or to send Mateo back into his own room, the paramedic manages to steal himself enough to speak the truth. “I would like it if you came up here. I don’t like the thought of you sleeping on the floor, but also...” No point in stopping now, Ever. “...I would like it.”
Whether or not he only likes the idea of it or whether Mateo’s presence will actually help, he has no idea. All he knows is that despite not being able to remember the last time he willingly spent a night in the same bed as someone else, just now he desperately feels as though it will help.
