The monster is in no mood to waste time, apparently, because the party barely has time to gather beneath Neron's shield when it strikes. And it's a very good thing that the Hailstorm thought to throw up said shield, because it is the only thing that prevents the creature from squashing Sah as it torpedoes down.
As it stands, the ice shatters and splinters and reduces the shield to nothing, giving the monster the time and distraction it needs to round on its latest victim, which just happens to beNeron.
And it's too fast for even the Ascended to dodge, and the Hailstorm will find himself pinned beneath armoured plates and large wings, with steel jaws locked about his throat.
