It would be silly to pretend that Wessex isn’t disappointed to hear Azrael say they aren’t ready for it; nevertheless, she tries her best to hide it with an understanding nod and a gentle, hopefully reassuring pat to their nearest elbow. “Okay,” she says simply. “I can respect that.” Which is to acknowledge that she inherently disagrees with the choice, but love and everything else demands the elder demigod to play nice and not push it.
