The admission does prick his ears, and helps to turn his excitement into something more manageable as his sharp mind begins to pick apart what it was that had led her to Torchline's sunny shores. Moue of consideration leading to him gently letting go of the hair once in his grasp, only forcing the slight frown off his lips when she speaks again - no sense in worrying so soon, and even less sense in being any sort of sad when she is here. Present and warm and real, more than just a dream or figment of his imagination when he misses her.
