Whoa, you let your feet run wild
Time has come as we all go down
“Doubtful,” the rumbled coiled out of juvenile antics, a shrug of his shoulders in the casual dismissal. Some smug little grin landed on his features, and then he raised his head once more, glancing out over the scenery. It extended nothing back but the archaic wake of its devious earth; subversive, covert, duplicitous under all the nuances of potential pathways. At the very least, the Basin, and by extension Halo, had always been exactly as depicted: beautiful, powerful, harsh, and domineering. He had no doubt this world would swallow and consume an individual whole and never divulge the secret.

Recognizing the slight dig into one of his underlying traits, the Sword snorted, snagging at Belial and bringing him closer to their wandering intervals as the peryton aimed for a bundle of thorns. “I do not know what you mean,” airily and deftly brushing it aside; because it’d been for the good of the Greatwood, and the seasonal deities, and whatever else lurked in the midst. An opportunity for something to be repaired from the damage, from the onslaught, some of the Ascended had laid upon a land that hadn’t deserved their tyranny.

As for the twins, he arched his brow, but refrained from the inquiries over the rapid aging of children here. A strange phenomenon, and seemingly more and more prevalent as inhabitants opted to have their offspring before an impending war. “Good. You all deserve some peace.” However long it lasted. That she could have that contentment with her children, in a world protected and guarded, was a rarity for Ru. Even if it was sometimes driven by her own actions. And for him? “The usual plotting and pouting.” A sigh bolstered through, even if it was followed by a quick, self-deprecating smile. “We met up with Sah recently. Halo apparently did not do well during Deepfrost.”
Yeah but for the fall—oh, my—
Do you dare to look them right in the eyes?
