Though Ever doesn't stop, not when he's hot on the trail and his instincts are given room to stretch out, in the back of his mind something about this being snake like does ring true in a way he should probably pay attention to.

Yelping frantically as he crashes into one of the worms, the Hart boy realizes too late that he was meant to howl if there was trouble, not yelp.
