It's like a rodeo he didn't enter, but finds he also doesn't hate. The creature submerges and though the shock of cold from the water freezes all of Remi's thoughts in place, he's able to hold on.

Trying to tell Ronin that it's fine lest his husband do something dramatic (not that he'd mind, honestly, but wanting him at least not to worry), the attuned connection is somewhat tenuous given the depths of the Sea of the Glass and the fact that the manticore is trying to hang on to a massive dinosaur intent on killing him. Shifting as the creature should have expected of him, Remi tries to wrap all half of his tentacles around the creature, while using 2 (and a half) to try and grab the dino's jaws and pull them apart. No doubt this will result in wounds up and down the inside of his tentacles, but even under water where sound is somewhat diffused, the alchemist is quite sure the snapping of the creature's jaw will be worth the bloodshed.
Remi becomes a kraken and tries to wrap 4/7.5 tentacles around the dinosaur to hold on, and then tries to pry the dinosaur's mouth open to snap its jaw.
