It's whimsical in a way that, if Isla hadn't stepped through a strange portal to get here while following a slime trail, she might just enjoy. When Azrael steps away to the side, she's quick to follow them, making sure that, regardless of anything else, someone is always in the way of the youngest Ascended and a bite from a dragon (in this case).
"And if you don't know where it ends, would you mind letting us pass?" she asks hopefully, though even as she speaks, scalpel blades start to slip out from her fingertips - just in case. "We're not going to hurt you if you don't hurt us. Though I'm afraid I haven't got anything to give you as a treat..."
Isla tries to bargain with the dragons (which is probably stupid), but she does arm herself with her claws just in case.

She - i.e. me - also belatedly remembers her citizenship ability:
