Finally they manage to get close to one another – their eyes brightening and relief pulling at their shoulders when Isla comes into view. They’re quick to reach for her, to wrap a hand around the Overseer’s arm, stuffing their anxiety down as they realize Nate isn’t there. “Where’s Nate?” They ask quietly, their voice coming out in more of a squeak than anything else, casting a quick glance around before they decide to abandon everything else.
“Let’s follow the trail and maybe we can find him…” Nate would be fine, right? He was one of the strongest people they knew. So it’s with a sense of urgency that Azrael decides to keep a hand connected to Isla as to not get lost again, and follow the trial of slime hopefully to its source.
Azrael latches onto Isla and doesn’t let go and follows the slime trail!
