Free for the moment, they practically glue themself to Isla’s side, trudging beside the line of slime in the hopes of not getting too close yet simultaneously staying close enough to not lose track of it. It works for the most part, their gaze bright as they scan for Nate or anything else of interest. But it isn’t their eyes that immediately get their attention. It’s the smell, something that strikes them as odd given their typical lack of much of a scent at all.
Their nose wrinkles and brows rise in surprise, but luckily being Ascended meant they don’t need to breathe. So it’s easy for them to simply stop, to try not to take more of the scent in. And from there? A slimy… cocoon? (They wonder if this is what it looks like within a butterflies cocoon). They squeeze isla’s arm and step forward, eyes bright as the shape coughs and dislocated and reforms. “Prince? Mr. Emyr? Is that you?” They ask, loud enough for the slime to hear.
Then back to Isla, they cast a worried look. “Should I try to heal him?” Or whatever it is, though they feel bad calling it and it if the slime is within hearing distance of that particular question. Wasn’t the point to be nice?
Azrael asks the slime if it’s the Prince and then asks Isla if they should try to heal him!
