One problem solved, and two scared off for now. A smug, satisfied purr rumbles through Nate’s chest, vibrating against Azrael as he shifts the young Demi-god, giving them a chance to clamber onto his back and hold on more securely.
Finding Isla seems easier said than done, but Azrael had seemed confident about the direction from which they came, and Nate is more than willing to put his trust in the other. Besides, even if they don’t stumble across the other doctor, there’s a good chance they’ll find the slime trail again (maybe? He’s not sure how direction works in this place) and have a solid marker to work from.
