Maeve
The comment doesn't go unnoticed. Maeve's lips turn down at the corners, a frown marring her pretty features as she makes a quiet noise in the back of her throat, shaking her head at his words. "Better than outright death..." She doesn't know the specifics of how Stormbreak handles the women. If they have to terminate the pregnancy once they find out or if the children turn into stone as soon as they take their first breath. Maeve leans forward to take up her tea, sipping from it deeply and wishing that it had something stronger mixed in, but the moment passes and she tries to let her unease go with it.
"Thank you. There were plans for him to potentially have a playdate with Everest and Mateo. I'll be sure it happens outside of Stormbreak." Easily enough done. There were plenty of other places outside of the city and Maeve wouldn't feel badly about keeping him from the stone city if it meant keeping him safe. "He was smitten with her. Still is. He's calling her Lady Safrin and is already thinking of what gift to bring her when we turn in the regional quest." Maeve can't help the small smile that curls on her lips at this, taking another sip of her tea. She hopes that the goddess is as warm and welcoming to her son as she has been to her.
A hum pushes past her lips and her head dips in a nod, "Ah, that makes sense. He has always been curious about Aidon's fire. Wondering about its strength and what it can do... I imagine it's because he felt connected to it too." He was an incredibly passionate little thing. Concerned about her wellbeing and safely, quick to jump to her defense, and it all makes sense now with how volatile that element is.
