Does he feel a bit smug at the fact Wessex seems to be awaiting his opinion? Absolutely. Does he show it? Not really. It’s simply nice to feel like your word carries weight and with someone like Wessex who’s absolutely taken the bull by the horns while he’d been readjusting to life centuries later? It’s just that much better. Her grin is bright as his is, both their fangs on display as he chuckles and nods in understanding.

I can take stock of it and have a chat with the blacksmiths on repairing it.” He says the plan aloud so that Wessex knew what it would be as well – a way he can double ensure he gets the plans right in his mind.
As for upgrades and unsaid ideas, he draws closer to her and lifts the metal arm up to rest around her shoulder (it’s a bit of a stretch given they’re an inch apart in height, her having that extra bit of an advantage). “Well, General. Wanna break it in?” And for pure amusement, because he’d noticed the way she’d pushed the unsaid ideas away and he doesn’t want to press her on it, he distracts her with his idea of fun. A spar, to see just how this space worked for them.
