DEIMOS
Zuriel, designated watcher as the other companion was too busy surveying the food, turned her noble head and narrowed her eyes, alerting him to Shaye’s presence well before she parted through crowds or ushered words. Crouched down, fixing the lanterns, ensuring they ignited without a thought, the man tilted his head in direction, a light wrinkle to his nose. “Already did,” then shrugged his shoulders, gaze flickering back towards the edge of the waves. “Could always go again though.” He presumed, given the way of things, Halovians weren’t much for swimming – unless they went to the hot springs in the Climb, and even then, perhaps they didn’t believe it worth the trek.
Rising back up to his full height, he arched a brow at her comment, already busy again with pledged foods – conjuring a tray consisting of bread and cheese from off in the shadows – safe from the peryton’s clutches. “All in good hands,” he rumbled, before handing the container towards her, though pausing slightly as her attention fixated firmly on Belial. "Have not set it on fire again."
The aforementioned companion turned his cranium briefly to chirp a hello, wings unfurling for half a second, seemingly pondering to either greet in rapid, irritating facets, or to remain on guard for the roasting bird. He settled for the latter, as Deimos rolled his eyes. “Belial. A peryton. Found him in Halo, actually.” He shrugged his shoulders, as if this was a customary thing. “Hunting ningos.”
Permitting Shaye to inspect the deer as she wished – he settled along the sand, long limbs stretched out, stare going back and forth from her and then to the sea. “How was your trip?”
