Trotting off towards where their supplies were, Ever returns dragging two long pieces of wood. He'd seen this technique used in pictures, of how a community would build a boat on land and pull it down a make-shift ramp towards the sea. Surely the principle would work in reverse?
"If we put these under, we won't have to fight against the sand and it should be much easier. We'll need two more pieces for it to transition onto, but..." Staring, as if to say it's worth a try? Maybe? Ever just blinks.
