Communication was easier to accomplish by body language – the little touches here and there, the way ones face might twist up with news, the way ones eyes might grow vacant or a brow might furrow. As it stands, her growl does little to deter him, his jaw set as he listens to her and he scoffs, an unamused laugh leaving him. “I haven’t, actually.” He comments with a shrug, a huff of breath leaving him. “What you do is your business.” And thereby saying it wasn’t his, which could simultaneously mean that his business wasn’t hers either, if they wanted to play at it like this.
But he doesn’t let those words fall from his lips, arms still crossed along his chest as he watches her say that Ludo has been nothing but kind to her – and that’s fine and all until it isn’t kind any longer. Until ultimatums are made. And then she’d fall into the same blunder that he often did – spontaneity.
She closes the sack, though, and Sunjata watches as she stomps her way further up, backtracking along the lava after cursing him out and he raises his hand to his lips to cup around them to project his voice further. “I never stopped!” It’s childish, yet Sunjata can’t help but to let the words fall from his lips, his body morphing shortly after into his dragon shift – steel eyes lingering on Melita before he gets ready to take to the skies, to circle from above to make sure that nothing happened to her here while simultaneously giving the two of them space.
