awareness is the enemy of sanity
It would be hard, but probably not for the reasons that Tobi is thinking of. Even so, Finn is as good a bridge as he can be - and then a chair, as it so happens - while the doctor slowly gets herself upright. "If you're sure," he begins, only for her to suddenly be on the ground, Finn shifting back onto his knees and glancing around for her. "Are you okay?" he asks automatically, holding out a hand to steady her and trying very hard not to smile.
"I hope that was worth it," he informs her, reaching out to loop her arm around his neck so he can sweep her up off the ground in a bridal carry before either of them can change their mind. "I will wash up, you have done enough today," he assures her, carefully navigating into the bedroom and depositing her down on the bed.
A few minutes and some clean dishes later and Finn has turned down the lights and come to join Tobi, changing out of the rest of his clothes and climbing beneath the covers. It won't be an easy night for him. He doesn't really sleep, but he doesn't mind either, because there's a woman who loves him to keep him anchored and safe.
