It takes more time than he's willing to admit for Nate to find the small group assembled in the Oerwoud, a fact that he attributes more to the chaotic jungle than to the churning in his gut. He'd moved to the Wilds to stop the thought that every time he walked out the front door it might be his last, but it was harder to shake this time than it had been in a while.
