Melita's invitation had been a pleasant surprise for Sah. The promise of going hunting with a friend was far too tempting for him to resist. The Outlander had packed his typical hunting bag, scooped up Lilly, and headed out. On some level, the note had been the most surprising aspect of the invite. The idea of Melita, chaotic as she was, sitting down and writing was hard for him to process. He'd almost would have been less surprised if she'd just showed up at his house and dragged him off to hunt.
The Outlander had never seen a ramphire, but he had heard of them at least. It was a day of firsts and he hoped they'd take down at least two of the creatures. He wanted to know what they tasted like.
Reaching their rendezvous point, Sah grinned as his friend came into view. "Hey, Melita. Thanks for inviting me. You ready to go?" The Abandoned was eager to get started, the thrill of hunting never seemed to get old. In his bag he'd brought a waterskin, rations, and a few daggers. His sword rested on his hip. within arm's reach. Lilly stood beside him, tapping her paws on the ground in anticipation.
