Within a moment, they’d both pinpointed the unfortunate victim. It made sense – survival of the fittest dictated how the world churned over and over. This one, lame and likely with some sort of detriment to its movement, probably wouldn’t have lasted long without them treading near. It could’ve easily fallen victim to a tide jaguar, or any other predator looming large. Maybe it was fortunate that it’d receive a quick death here, courtesy of lightning.
For Melita deigned to match Sah’s infused blade, smirking, snickering, as it landed, snapping and sizzling into the beast’s shoulder. There was a blatant scream that came with the piercing movement – and the sound of all the other ramphires running, rampaging in every direction. But that wasn’t going to deter the honeybee.
Selecting her own lightning-based arrows, she drew back the strand of her bow, and let it fly. It sparked and whipped through the air with its alarming speed, finishing the beast off before it had a chance to escape or wonder about the inflicting pain. Fallen immediately, gone and done in, with a breath and a rally.
Which she allowed herself, rising from her crouch, and walking over. “Still a nice sword,” she commented, obliging him with a grin as she put her bow away, and reached for a hunting knife to begin the usual process. “I need enough meat for a dragon,” to which she shrugged her shoulders. “How much do you want?”
