He arrives with Ophelia looped around his shoulders, sweating from the dense Longheat humidity, and ready to take a seat at an empty table as he mops his brow with a handkerchief and takes a long draught from a waterbottle.
Ophelia cannot be contained, and as soon as she thinks her bonded is comfortable, she goes racing off to the nearest tree, elated to be back in the Jungle. Her screeches of joy echo into the canopy while Falke’s gaze drifts first towards Lena, to whom he gives a little wave, and then to the resplendent Frey, who he feels like he can ogle without consequence.
