Ronin tilts his head at that, but he's got bigger problems than a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. With wings spread wide and the world bathed in lamplight and moonlight, he's vaguely aware of the chaos that continues all around, the people running, the destruction of the Tower at his back.
Amun doesn't reappear, but he doesn't know that the Ascended is gone. Ronin doesn't know how many of them there are, in fact - he could be vastly outnumbered here. They could be all over the city. And it causes his pulse to quicken, much as he tries to keep himself calm, because whatever he might be, there's still only one of him.
Technically, anyway. When something that looks like a fox approaches Nate, disappears, and then the Ascended begins to walk towards the doors, Ronin summons his projection to come and meet him. He's none the wiser as to the illusion at work, but he's also safest up here for now.
"Gods, I hate to admit when I'm in over my head," he mutters into the night air, "but Safrin, I really need you right now. Stormbreak is in trouble, and I don't know how much I can do alone."
Ronin summons his projection to meet Nate at the door and calls out for help from Safrin. I'd like to also use his birthday gift, please!

If the astral projection is damaged, it can no longer physically affect the space. He may only project as far as the sub-boards adjacent to his physical location - and only if he has previously visited the board.
