Ray sighed as the bird continued to give her trouble. Once it was clear that Pihu would make a full recovery on her own, the herbalist set the bird down. She'd done what she could, and it was clear that further interaction would stress the bird further.
As such, Ray turned back to her original task. Reaching into the tangling vines, the herbalist found the base of one. She began to dig, gently coaxing the root from the soil. The sentient vine thrashed a little, curling around the herbalist's arm in alarm. "I just need to put you in a pot of soil and bring you to Frey. Is that, ok?" She asked the plant as she continued to work. Ray had no idea just what level of sentience the vine had but her words seemed to calm it enough that she could work.
Soon she had a sentient vine in a shiny new pot, ready to transport. Wiping her brow, Ray glanced back at the raven. In completing her quest, she'd completely forgotten about the stubborn bird for a moment.
