I don't trust Noah to not think of me as one.” She pauses, at a loss for where to pick up the thread. “So I have to go where I feel the safest. Not just… Not just for me, but for you too.” Her gaze lifts, desperate, a glimmer of fluid coating her iceberg gaze. “You understand that, right?” It’s a whisper, only because if she speaks louder she’s positive her voice would crack.
