As Mateo hears his friend out, the frown on his face grows deeper and deeper, and he resists the urge to reach an arm around him only because he knows Ever doesn't like it (even if he has a feeling he'd tolerate it). "That... really sucks," he mutters. And whilst the Hart boy doesn't have any intention of telling his parents about his woes, Mateo doesn't have any such proclivities.
