How the bats decided that she was the cause for their disturbance she had no idea. But since they were only bats - loud singing that resounded painfully in her sensitive ears aside - and had the good fortune to be on the cute sude, Maea didn't do anything to harm them. As they swarmed around her she simply set down her tools and slowly walked towards the entrance, where she hoped to guide the confused critters outside. Perhaps larger space and the open sky might persuade them to flutter somewhere else.
Should it work, she would return promptly to pick up where she left off, mouth a thin line of determination as she sized up the wall and got back to work. Spackle was far more of a challenge to deal with, in her mind.
